Thank you for your interest in joining Brentwood Chamber of Commerce.

Through our link to the Association of British Chambers of Commerce, via Essex Chambers of Commerce, we have the help and backing of a large organisation that is consulted by central Government on business issues. It lobbies the Government on matters such as VAT, rating valuation, financial regulations, commercial property law etc. In addition, through our links with the National Association and the Essex Chambers, we are kept informed of business developments, both nationwide and locally, and of opportunities for trading overseas.

We maintain close relations with Brentwood Borough Council and study council agendas and papers so that we may make representations affecting the Borough's businesses including planning policies, individual applications, traffic control, car parking, environmental matters and security. The Chamber is also consulted on the Brentwood Local Plan.

We are represented on the Brentwood Town Forum and its working groups to discuss how to develop and promote Brentwood.

The Chamber also acts as a representative of non-domestic ratepayers for the purposes of statutory consultations with the Borough Council on budgets and rates.
